Connect your AI

Qunei works through your AI assistant. Bring it into Claude once, in about two minutes with the plugin, and from then on you just ask.

Before you start

• A Qunei workspace, with your email address verified. We email you a link when your workspace is created.
• A Claude account. The Qunei plugin needs a paid plan: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. On Claude’s free plan, Qunei works as a connector.

Create your workspace

Claude app, Pro or Max

The Qunei plugin brings Qunei’s skills and its connection in one install. Add the Qunei plugin in Claude on the web or in the Claude desktop app; it then works in Cowork and in the Claude phone app too.

1. In Claude, open Customize, then Plugins. Click Add, then Add marketplace, and enter:
   rpxltech/qunei-claude Copy
2. Select Qunei and click Add.
3. Open Qunei’s Connectors tab. If Qunei shows Not added, add it, or on a Team or Enterprise plan ask an owner to add it. Then click Connect, sign in to Qunei and approve access to your workspace.
4. Open a new chat and say “Hi Qunei”.

To get Qunei’s updates in Claude, open Customize, then Plugins, and select Check for updates for the Qunei marketplace, or turn on Sync automatically.

Claude Free

Plugins need a paid Claude plan. On the free plan, Qunei works as a connector, and you can add its skills yourself. The free plan allows one custom connector.

1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
3. Name it Qunei and paste this address:
   https://qunei.ai/mcp Copy
4. Click Add, then Connect if Claude shows it. Sign in to Qunei and approve access to your workspace.
5. In a chat, click + at the bottom left, choose Connectors and switch Qunei on.

Then add Qunei’s skills, below, and say “Set up a ledger for my business.”

On the free plan you do without the one-step install and the guided first conversation, and you add new versions of the skills yourself.

Add Qunei’s skills

The Qunei plugin already includes them. Without it, add them yourself. Skills teach Claude Qunei’s routines: setting up a ledger, coding a statement, a month-end review, GST and more. They are optional and worth adding. Sign in and download them under Claude Free on Bring Qunei into Claude. Start with qunei-onboard, qunei-bookkeeping and qunei-code-statement.

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Capabilities, and switch on Code execution and file creation. Skills need it.
2. Open Customize, then Skills.
3. Click +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and choose one of the skill files you downloaded.
4. Do the same for each skill file. Each one appears in the list with its own on and off switch.

On Team and Enterprise plans an owner first switches on Cloud code execution and file creation and Skills under Organization settings, then Plugins & skills. An owner can also add Qunei’s skills for everyone at once.

Claude Code

For developers who use Claude Code in a terminal. Only using the Claude app? Skip this section.

Added Qunei in the Claude app on a Pro or Max plan? Claude Code, signed in to the same account, downloads it when it next starts. Then type /reload-plugins, or start Claude Code again, to load it.

Otherwise, run this in a terminal:

In Windows PowerShell 5.1, run the three commands one at a time:

To sign in, type /mcp, choose plugin:qunei:qunei and sign in to Qunei in your browser.

If you added Qunei with the commands above, get its updates with claude plugin update qunei@qunei.

Not using the plugin? For Qunei’s skills in Claude Code, unzip each skill file into ~/.claude/skills. Each one unzips into its own folder.

With a token instead

For tools that cannot sign in to Qunei, and for Claude Code if signing in does not work. Sign in, open Bring Qunei into Claude in your workspace and mint a token under Advanced. Then run this in a terminal, with your token in place of <YOUR-TOKEN>:

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan

On these plans an owner adds Qunei for everyone under Organization settings, then Plugins & skills, and adds its connector under Organization settings, then Connectors. Each member then opens Qunei’s Connectors tab, clicks Connect and signs in to Qunei with their own account.

To add Qunei as a connector only, without the plugin:

On these plans only an owner can add a custom connector. Ask one to open Organization settings, then Connectors, click Add, choose Custom, then Web, name it Qunei, paste the address above and click Add. Then open Customize, then Connectors, find Qunei and click Connect.

Choosing what it may do

When you connect an assistant or make a token, you choose its access: full access to work on your books as you would, draft-only for an assistant that runs on its own and asks you to approve its entries by email, or read-only to answer questions and change nothing.

What to ask first

• “Hi Qunei.” With the plugin, this starts a guided first conversation: your first ledger, your first bank statement and your first report.
• “Set up a ledger for my business.”
• “Code this bank statement.” Attach the PDF or CSV to your message.
• “Show me last month’s P&L.”

Your agent drafts entries and stages them for your approval. Nothing posts until you say so.

If something goes wrong

• Cannot find Customize, Plugins or Connectors? Claude moves its menus from time to time. Claude’s own guides to plugins and connectors always have the current steps.
• Using the plugin, and Claude says Qunei is not connected? In Claude, open Customize, then Plugins, and select Qunei. Open Qunei’s Connectors tab. If Qunei shows Not added, add it, or on a Team or Enterprise plan ask an owner to add it. Then click Connect, sign in to Qunei and approve access to your workspace.
• Landed on your Qunei workspace instead of back in Claude? Your email address is not verified yet. Open the link we emailed you, or resend it from that page, then click Connect in Claude again.
• No Skills page, or an upload refused? Check that code execution is switched on (the first skill step). Claude’s guide to skills has the current steps.
• Already using a custom connector on Claude’s free plan? The free plan allows one. Remove the other connector, or move to a paid Claude plan.
• Still stuck? Email hello@qunei.ai with your workspace name and what you saw. A person reads every message.
